DIY Wellness Shots that Support the Gut, Brain & More

Have you seen this wellness trend? Wellness shots are typically small bottles that feature certain nutrients and are designed to boost one's health, such as promoting a healthy immune system or working as detox drinks. They can also be fairly pricey for such a small drink.
Instead, make your own! These DIY wellness shots are loaded with select extracts, herbs and spices to give you a boost, such as for your gut and more. Recipes for healthy detoxification-supporting shots were also created.
These five wellness shots all feature a new kind of apple cider vinegar: Herbal Cider Vinegar. It joins the power of apple cider vinegar with the benefits of nutrient-filled herbs, berries and roots. (Also check out our recipe for a homemade energy drink that uses Herbal Cider Vinegar.)
This formula features a powerful blend of fermented apple cider vinegar and 10+ organic superfoods grown right on our own regenerative farm. These include such superfoods as turmeric, moringa leaf, sumac berry, guava, passionfruit, holy basil leaf, elderberry, key lime, feijoa and goji.
We use only organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, ensuring that the bacteria and yeasts used to ferment the apples into vinegar are still present.
Herbal Cider Vinegar supports overall:
Healthy microbial balance
Healthy antioxidant levels
Healthy weight management and metabolism boosting (combined with a healthy diet and lifestyle, including regular exercise)

Other valuable, health-supporting ingredients include turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, ginger, beetroot powder, and kale and spinach.
Ideally, you have a juicer along with small glass bottles with caps in order to store them, such as for the week. (They stay good for around five days.) You can also pour them out right there for yourself and loved ones. Each recipe makes several wellness shots, which are usually one to three ounces.
No juicer? You can also use a power blender, a fine mesh strainer and a bowl.

The Immune Supporting Shot uses ginger, lemon, coconut water, Herbal Cider Vinegar, turmeric and cayenne. A similar wellness shot is our turmeric shot or ginger shot.
The Gut Support Shot uses pineapple, ginger, coconut water, Herbal Cider Vinegar, turmeric and cayenne. Looking for another drink with turmeric? Try our iced golden milk latte.
The Energy Boosting Shot uses a carrot, ginger, lemon, beetroot powder, coconut water and Herbal Cider Vinegar.
The Metabolism Support Shot uses celery, a green apple, ginger, lemon, coconut water and Herbal Cider Vinegar.
The Brain Boosting Shot uses kale, spinach, a red apple, ginger, lemon, coconut water and Herbal Cider Vinegar. For another green drink, try our ultimate green juice recipe.
Simple juice the first few ingredients before coconut water. Pour into a small container or bowl, then add the coconut water, Herbal Cider Vinegar and potential herbs. Mix until combined.
Pour into small bottles and store in the refrigerator up to five days. Or pour out two ounce portions into several small glasses for yourself and others. Enjoy!

Immune Supporting Shot
2-inch piece fresh ginger, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup coconut water
1 teaspoon Herbal Cider Vinegar
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Gut Support Shot
1 cup pineapple, juiced
2-inch piece fresh ginger, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup coconut water
1 teaspoon Herbal Cider Vinegar
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Energy Boosting Shot
1 carrot, cut into small coins, juiced
2-inch piece fresh ginger, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon beetroot powder
1 carrot, cut into small coins
¼ cup coconut water
1 teaspoon Herbal Cider Vinegar
Metabolism Support Shot
2 stalks celery (about ½ cup) cut into chunks and juiced
½ green apple, sliced and juiced
2-inch piece fresh ginger, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup coconut water
1 teaspoon Herbal Cider Vinegar
Brain Boosting Shot
1 cup kale, juiced
½ cup spinach, juiced
½ medium red apple, cored, sliced and juiced
2-inch piece fresh ginger, juiced
1 lemon, juiced
¼ cup coconut water
1 teaspoon Herbal Cider Vinegar
Place the first few ingredients — that say "juiced" next to them — into a juicer. Juice them together and pour into a small mixing bowl.
(Don't have a juicer? Then use a power blender and pour into a fine mesh strainer and press out the juice into a mixing bowl.)
In the mixing bowl, add the coconut water and Herbal Cider Vinegar. Also add the herbs for the GLT Shot and Gut Shot.
Mix well with a wooden spoon.
Pour into a small glass or bottle.
When stored in the refrigerator in a closed container, wellness shots can last for up to 4–5 days.
